Personality:

Ebegail is not the nervous sort. She is not the type to sweat the small stuff or to get easily frazzled. She is capable and calm, always valuing a rational evaluation of the world. She likes reasoning things out and making sense of things. However, she's not an overly touchy-feely kind of person. She likes her space. That doesn't mean, however, that she doesn't like people. She understands people well, and if she decides to get to know someone, she usually ends up fairly close to them. Despite being an Eberhardt, people generally trust Ebby with secrets. She never tells secrets without a good reason. In fact, she never does ANYTHING without a good reason, and she is motivated by the benefit she can get out of things.

Ebegail is a bit of a contradiction when it comes to work. She works hard on the big things, like school. However, she isn't usually willing to put in a lot of effort to make relationships work. She does just enough to keep friendships and acquaintances from feeling neglected, but she doesn't generally go out of her way to initiate gatherings without some specific reason. She treats her friends well and she is always open to listening and giving advice. She's a good friend, just not an attentive one.

History:

Ebegail Beatrice White was born in Maine to Maria and George White. She wasn't granted a carefree childhood. When she was young, her father took off and her mom got arrested. No one ever explained the full story of what happened to her, because she was "too young to understand" at the time. She moved in with her Aunt Harriet, her mother's sister, which was a better option, in the long run. Her aunt was a much better mother figure to Ebby than her own mother ever was, since she was caring, candid, and honest. However, her aunt was a bit of a space case and a bit of a hippie. Aunt Harriet was a vegan and a feminist, as well as being incredibly absent-minded. Ebby was sent off to muggle schools for grade school, and her teachers and aunt realized that she had a knack for numbers. Before long, Ebby was placed in charge of the bookkeeping and taxes for her aunt, since Harriet was often haphazard in slinging numbers around, or forgot to complete forms at all. Although it should have been a nuisance, Ebby really enjoyed it. She was being given responsibility and she was having fun, even though it got a bit tedious at times.

Ebby knew that she had magic. Her parents were both magical and her aunt had magic. However, she didn't experiment too much with it until it started coming out in random spits and bursts. That was when she turned to her aunt for help. Eventually, Ebby was sent off to SAS, where she was sorted into Eberhardt, which she expected. She gets good grades and is involved in one or two extra-curricular activities. She does not want to spread herself too thin, and she knows that she will be busy with her responsibilities for school and her role as president of the Youths in Business club. She is in a relationship with Sera.

Endowment: Ebby has an endowment, but it is not very strong. She has a strong, accurate intuition that she got from her mother's side of the family, but she does not really think of it as being an endowment. It does not occur to her that her intuition is anything magical, she just figures it's a family trait, like having her father's eyes and her mother's hair.
