Vena and Silver (Cj and Tsuki)

Once all the attention was diverted from me I sat back in my chair and leaned back again, truly intended to finally freaking sleep! I propped my feet up and closed my eyes for the seemingly hundredth time today.

I sighed and stepped in front of Blackridge, I wondered if she cared that she was about to find out what I feared but it didn't look it as she seemed to be wanting to get some sleep. I smiled that was one less person who wouldnt know what I feared, even though I still didn't.

I opened my eyes and looked as Riddle moved to face the boggart. This could very well be interesting. I waited and watched. What would it do?

I glanced at it curiously I was right in front of it now. The bogart changed but as if it's mind had not yet been made it flicked and changed quickly never stopping on one thing kept changing. I waited for it to stop.

I watched the boggart flicker in between things. What the hell was going on with it? I'd never heard of one doing that before, or read it anywhere. It was like the boggart didn't even know what Riddle was afraid or something….

I sighed frustrated well this didn't help in the least. It was as if the stupid bogart had no clue what I was afraid of. The thouhgt made me laugh, as if something that knew everyone's fears had no clue what I feared. Finally it stopped and I frose in confusion and amusment not fear even though it was something I feared that I hadn't known I feared. Love. I feared love. And I had never noticed it before.

What the hell was it that she feared? I couldn't tell at the moment, I was more occupied with her reaction. She looked confused, but at the same time was smirking in amusement. It made no sense to me. What was the boggart?

I smirked. Did it matter if anyone knew that I feared it? When they couldn't do anything about it to scare me. Fearing something and being scared were two different things altogether. The object that the boggart had taken place didn't scare me but the prospect of it did. It wasn't like someone could conjour what was in front of me and scare me. It didn't work that way. Not with what I feared. I was still amazed I had never realized I feared love. I wondered how I didn't notice but maybe it didn't acore to me. I wasn't sure.

Rolling my eyes, I closed them again for the seemed like billionth time today, and leaned back. I was starting to get too tired to do much of anything. My question: why was I being so lazy lately? I had never been so tired in all my life before.

"Is anyone else going to have a shot now? Or am I going to stand here staring at this all day?" I asked impatiently as no one else went to move. "Im going for the latter." I muttered.

"Well this is fun." I muttered sarcasticly moving and sitting down on a desk.

~Timeskip: 1 month~
Weeks and weeks went by, but nothing happened that was ever remotely interesting after the boggart incident. Today, however, was the day our Veritaserum was supposed to be done in Potions. Very few had actually turned out right and there had been several accidents and a couple of small explosions in the process, but it was all handled before it got interesting. In the end, only two of the eight groups had even made it to the end. The rest of the students had to do bookwork while they waited for the month to be up. The whole thing made me snicker.

There was only two groups with potions left not destroyed. Mine and Blackridges and Potter and Weasley's, Weasley managed to make sure it didn't get distroyed. I bit my lip and smiled. The potion would be finished by the end of this class and I was going to nick some of it. So I had my own store, Which I knew would come in handy some day.

I looked at the potion, probably thinking the same thing Riddle was. I wanna steal some and have my own.

It woulnd't surprise me if she really was thinking that either.

The teacher told us to pack away. And when everyone wasn't looking I slipped some potion into a vial and into my pocket. And turned around to pick up my books.

I made sure no one saw when I took some potion, and left. It wouldn't do to get caught by anyone.

I saw Blackridge leave the classroom.

"What going to leave me to clean up on my own are you?" I grumbled watching her leave the classroom.

"I take that as a yes." I muttered waving my wand as if all cleared up.

I scowled to myself as I walked down the hall. I had a break this class, so I was off to the common room to rest a bit before my next class.

I sighed once it was all clean, I walked out of the doungens. I had a break and I was going to spend it in the commen room plotting what to do with my veritaseim.

I walked in the common room and sat down on one of the couches. I rubbed my eyes and took out a book from my bag, curling up and leaning against the arm of the couch. I opened the book to the page I had last stopped on and started reading.

I walked into the commen room and sighed when I noticed Blackridge was there. Was it just an odd coincidence that we kept ending up in the same place? I put my hand in my pocked closing it around the potion, I still wondered what I was going to do with it.

I just kept reading, not paying attention to anything around me. I didn't even look up as someone else walked in the common room.

I sat down facing the fire my head buzzing. I glanced at the girl sitting on a chair on the other side of the room. Could I somehow use it to my advantage and her disadvantage? I leaned back plotting.

I looked to the next page in my book, which happened to be my favorite, a book filled with many short mysteries. The next case was The Case of the Bottle of Cyanide.

Arthur Maxim sagged in an easy chair. His right hand lay on his lap, clutched about a bottle of cyanide.
"He's been dead about fifteen minutes," Dr. Haledjian told Carter. "Have you called the police?"
"Yes- but I called you first. I knew you were at the hotel. Arthur was depressed, but- good heavens! - I never dreamed he'd kill himself!"
"You knew him well?" asked Haledjian.
"We were kids together," replied Carter. "Since his wife divorced him, he's been despondent. I suggested this vacation. He seemed better yesterday. We played golf and fished."
"Half an hour ago I went down to the lobby for a newspaper. Just as I returned, he drank that bottle in his hand."
Inspectors Winters arrived. Haledjian summed up his findings.
"You'll notice how lax the body is," said the sleuth, pointing to the drooping position of the corpse had assumed in the chair. "Cyanide kills instantly, and the muscles go limp.
"Maxim appears to have committed suicide by drinking cyanide. But no conclusion is possible till we know for certain the cause of death."
Two days later the inspector told Haledjian: "The lab confirms that Maxim's death was due to cyanide."
"That clinches it!" was the reply. "Arrest Carter on suspicion of murder!"
Why?

I had to turn the book upside down to get the solution, so I did so, probably looking ridiculous as I did so.

As cyanide "kills instantly and the muscles go limp," Maxim couldn’t possibly have held the bottle clutched in his hand. It had to have been put there after death!


As my mind settled on the thought of poison, I also came to think of the bit of potion I had taken and what I was going to do with it.

I watched Blackridge as I thought my plan over. She suddenly turned the book upside down and I bit my lip to stop myself laughing. I went back to thinking about the potions. I had to somehow get Blackridge to drink it. But before I did I needed to figure out what I wanted to find out and what I was going to ask her. I smiled my plan formulating.

I closed by book when I felt as though someone was staring at me. I looked up to see Riddle. What did she want now?

"Why are you staring at me?" I asked. "Better yet, why are you smiling?"
